Frances Kell Miller, 64, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Fran was born in Toccoa, and was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lessie Kell. Fran was a graduate of Toccoa High School and received her bachelor of arts from Carson-Newman. She was a retired home school mom who loved music, riding her bike, and hiking in the mountains. She is survived by her son, Joshua Miller and wife Elizabeth of Oklahoma; grandson, Colin Miller; and sister, Charlotte Goldman of Marietta. Visitation will be in the chapel at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 6-7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Byars Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
