Frances J. Miller, longtime resident of Yorktown Heights, died Saturday, October 26, 2002. Mrs. Miller worked as a schoolteacher for New York City, in Peekskill and the Bronx for over 30 years, retiring in 1988. She was an active parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown. Mrs. Miller was born in the Bronx to John and Rose Mills. She was educated in New York and graduated from Hunter College. She also earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from New York University. On December 29, 1951, she married Anthony K. Miller at St. John's RC Church in Kingsbridge, Bronx. Mrs. Miller lived in Yorktown Heights for the past 48 years; before that, she lived in the Bronx. Locally, she was a hospice volunteer, avid dancer and world traveler. Mrs. Miller will be remembered her deep faith, selflessness, and cheerful spirit. She is survived by her son, Rev. Abraham A.J. Miller of Chicago, daughter Terese Wildrick of Yorktown, and three grandsons: Brian, Kevin and Daniel Wildrick. Her sister, Rita Byrne, resides in Roscoe, NY. Her husband, Anthony K. Miller, predeceased her. Calling hours are Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The Funeral is Tuesday, October 29, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the New York Archdiocese Family Life/Respect Life Office, 1011 First Avenue, NYC 10022.
