BANGOR - Frances Germaine Fortier, 80, went to be with her heavenly father Nov. 30, 2005, at a local healthcare center. She was born Dec. 4, 1924, in Orono, the daughter of Joseph A. and Kathleen (Brooks) Fortier. Frances was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bangor and a former member of the Senior Citizens of Bangor. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed playing Dominoes. Aunt Frances was loved and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are one niece, Bette Anne Crane and her husband, Clark, of Veazie; one nephew, Charles R. Perry and his wife, Heidi, of Ocala, Fla.; great-nieces and great-nephews, Darrell Crane and his wife, Carolyn, Donald Crane and his wife, Laurie, Sherry Clifford and Danny Clifford, Judy Perry, Lisa Fortier, Joseph Fortier, Kelly Fortier; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Chris Crane, Jenna Crane, Jordan Crane, Eric Clifford, Keith Clifford, Elizabeth Clifford, Benjamin Shawn Crane; and her special friends at 300 Stillwater. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Fortier; a sister, Thelma K. Savage; and a great-nephew, Shawn Crane. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor, celebrant. Spring interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Those who wish to remember Frances in a special way may make gifts in her memory to St. Joseph Healthcare Diabetes Fund, P.O.
