PLANTSVILLE - Frances G. Stuart, 92, formerly of Cheshire, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Southington Care Center. She was the wife of Edward L. Stuart who passed away in 2000.Mrs. Stuart was born Feb., 27, 1918, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Lintner) Gunterman. She was a long time Cheshire resident moving to Plantsville in 2008. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church and had worked for Bristol Insurance as well as Consolidated Industries, of Cheshire.Mrs. Stuart is survived by her sons, Edward "Ned" Stuart and his wife, Kathy, of Houston, Texas and George Stuart and his wife, Eileen, of Queensbury, N.Y.; her daughter, Marcia Fritz, with whom she made her home, in Plantsville; her brother, Joseph Gunterman, of Waterbury; her sisters, Margaret Gunterman, of Waterbury and Barbara Capozzi, of Palm City, Fla.; four grandsons, one granddaughter, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her son, Robert; her son-in-law, Dr. And-rew Fritz and her sister, Mary Kosinski.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home, of Che-shire, 615 S. Main St., to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in Thomaston. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
