Frances "Honey" Flanagan-Earl passed away on Dec. 9, 2013, in Florida. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St., Montclair, N.J. Services will begin on Friday at 11:30 a.m., then to Immaculate Conception Church, where at 1 p.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. For directions and online condolences, please visit www.moriartyfh.com. Born in Newark, N.J., on March 9, 1939, to Charles Earl and Mary Flanagan Earl, Frances lived in Montclair for over 30 years. Frances earned her B.S. and M.A. degrees from Fordham University, graduating magna cum laude. For the last decade, she was an art therapist with the Orchid Recovery Center in Palm Spring, Fla., holding a C.A.P. certification, and was recognized for developing innovative healing arts programs. Frances loved art and enjoyed taking classes this past fall in Paris and Chartres in France. She is survived by her brother, Charles Earl Jr., and his wife, Elizabeth Earl; sisters, Mariana Strauch, Carolyn Tierney, and Michele Earl; cousin, Ruth Murray, and many loving nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends in New Jersey and Florida.
