FLEMING Frances Louise - Sechelt, BC. Born August 1913; passed away on July 8, 2004 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by husband, Ray. Frances was a pioneer BC teacher, inspiring and highly regarded educator and author; respectedcommunity leader, mentor and friend to many, young and old. She was the first woman administrator in a Vancouver secondary school; first woman Superintendent of Schools in B.C.; awarded the Order of BC in 1997. Survived by son John (Jack) Fleming (June), daughters Edith Ehlers (Doug) and Maureen Clayton (John), 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
