Aged 93. Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Bethany Harvest Hills on Saturday, November 24, 2001. She is the beloved wife of Wilfred P. Brideaux, and the dear mother of Wayne W. Brideaux, both of Calgary. Frances is also survived by two grandsons, Philip, Toronto, ON and Stuart, Calgary, her niece Anita, Gaspe, PQ and her daughter-in-law Marjorie Brideaux, Calgary. She was predeceased by her sister Mildred, and two brothers, Louis and Otis. Frances was born in Gaspe, PQ, May 12, 1908 and lived in Gaspe, Amos, PQ, Montreal and Ottawa before moving to Calgary in 1997. She married "Fred" Brideaux on October 17, 1931 and lived to celebrate her 70th Wedding Anniversary in October 2001. Frances liked cooking, petit point, bridge and as a child of the depression, always loved a good bargain. In her last decade Frances suffered from dementia but retained a sense of humour to the end. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held for family and close friends at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. A MEMORIAL SERVICE to celebrate Frances' life will be held in the Chapel of the EDGEMONT RETIREMENT HOME, 80 Edenwold Drive NW, on Thursday, November 29, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Grant Dawson officiating. the family requests that donations be directed to the Alzheimer's Society, 1920 - 11th Street SE, Calgary AB or to a charity of one's choice.
