TRENTON - Frances Carter Williams, age 95, passed away May 3, 2014, in Mt. Holly. Born in Lawrenceville, she was a lifelong Trenton resident. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and Mercer County Community College-Nursing School. She was a retired Registered Nurse for Trenton State Hospital with over 30 years of service. Frances was a longtime member of Cadwalader-Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Chancel Choir and the United Methodist Women. She volunteered at the Trenton Soup Kitchen and with the Meals on Wheels Program.She was preceded in death by her mother, Eulie, father, Sandy, siblings, Clarence, Elijah, Albert, Sandy, Eugene, Azah, Judson, Mariah, Bertha, Alfreda, Essie and Mattie, and granddaughter Gayle. Frances is survived by a son, Richard A. Williams; two grandsons, Brian and Darren Williams; two great-granddaughters, Mariah and McKayla; godchild Tiffany Gaines; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at Cadwalader-Asbury United Methodist Church, 900 Stuyvesant Ave., Trenton. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
