Frances C. Hall EDISON - Frances C. Hall, 87, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at Calhoun Nursing Home, under the care of the nursing homestaff and Vista Care Hospice. She is survived by her two children, Dr. Millard Wayne Hall (and wife Mary) and F. Patricia Hall Neyman, both of Tallahassee. The service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel in the Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home (229-723-3421), followed by a private graveside service and burial in Bronwood, Ga. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 1713 Dawson Road, Albany, GA 31707 or to a favorite charity.Born in Meriweather County, Ga., Frances and her late brother H.G. were adopted by Dick and Maude Collier of Calhoun County in 1923. She lived all of her life in Georgia, with extended periods in Griffin, Buena Vista and Morgantown. In addition to being a homemaker, she held bookkeeping positions for several major agricultural processing firms and retired from Cargill in Edison, Ga. An avid gardener, she was known for having the "prettiest yard in Morgantown" in the spring. She was a faithful member of the Morgan Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Her pecan pie and lemon cheesecake were always in demand for church suppers and potlucks. Always a voracious reader, she counted on the Edison Library to keep her supplied with the latest novels. She maintained her love of reading even as her health declined. The family thanks the staff of Wildwood Assisted Living Home and the Calhoun County Nursing Home, both in Edison; Arlington Hospital; and especially, Dr. Kocherla and his staff at the Robert Jennings Clinic in Arlington for their professional and tender care of "Miss Frances" through the years.Other survivors include three grandchildren, Crystal Hall Cole (and husband Francis) of Bar Harbor, Maine, Michael Hall (and wife Aase) of Victoria, British Colombia, and Kimberley Dawn Tscherter (and husband Alan); six great-grandchildren, Kai and Tsion Hall and Jeff, Alex, Ty and Nick Tscherter; three sisters-in-law, Clara Collier of Edison and Justine Rodgers and Martha Hall, both of Buena Vista; two brothers-in-law, Morill Hall (and wife Vera) of Athens and Roy Hall of Pensacola. She was known as "Aunt Frances" to her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She cherished several lifelong friends in and around Edison and Morgan. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, J.R. Hall Jr., who died in 1992.
