CARTER, FRANCES C., 86, of Louisville, went to be with her heavenly father, Sunday, November 21, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Ruth Carpenter; sisters, Hazel Wright, Catherine Echols, Marguerite Cox and Clara Carpenter; and granddaughter, Jamie Ann Whitaker. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Marion Joseph Carter; sons, Kenneth Joseph (Linda) and Stephen Edward (Barbara) Carter; daughters, Linda Marie Whitaker (Charlie) and Elizabeth "Libby" Wilcoxson; sisters, Regina O'Malley, Theresa Conner (Courtney) and Josephine Riley; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mary Queen of Peace (St. Denis campus), 4205 Cane Run Road, with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Cloverport, KY. Visitation was held Tuesday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons-Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who cared for her these last few months.
