Frances A. Mitchell Frances A. Mitchell, age 96, of Bridgeton died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. A lifetime Bridgeton resident, she was born in Bridgeton on July 26, 1914, to the late Harry B. Adams and Elizabeth Woolbert Adams. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Lawrence Mitchell. A member of the Daughters of the American Revolution-Greenwich Tea Burning Chapter she enjoyed needlecraft, gardening and was an extensive traveler. She had previously worked at the Whitaker Card Shop and the F.W. Woolworth Department Store in Bridgeton. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Connie Perry of Bridgeton, Leslie B. Mitchell Jr. of Florida, William Mitchell and wife Gabe of Millville and Leslie Mitchell of Bridgeton; several great-nieces and great-nephews including Mary Reimer of Stow Creek Township; and several cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Harry R. Adams and Charles Adams, and a nephew, Keith Z. Adams. Memorial services will be held at West Park United Methodist Church, 625 Shiloh Pike, Hopewell Township, on Monday morning, May 2nd at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers the family asks the contributions in Mrs. MitchellÕs memory be made to South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Care, P.O. Box 160, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
