Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Albertville Memorial Chapel for Floyd Samuel Morrow, Horton, who died Sunday, July 12, 2009, after 81 years. He was born July 27, 1927. Interment will be at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in the Hyatt Community. Albertville Memorial Chapel directing. He is survived by his beautiful bride of 60 years, Betty Jean Lang Morrow. His surviving children are Bruce Samuel Morrow, Horton; Connie Morrow Stone, Leesburg; Rejeania Morrow Drdak, Lake Wylie, S.C.; and Ronald Buford Morrow, Powder Springs, Ga. His surviving grandchildren are Brian Morrow, Laura Morrow Williford, Rachel Stone Smith, Catherine Roseanne Stone, Richard Nordman Stone, Briana Elizabeth Swords, Kendrick Harrison Swords, Vincent Logan Morrow and Astra Jean Morrow. His beautiful great grandchildren are Hillary Morrow, Blake Morrow, Sean Smith, Sloan Smith, Savannah Smith, Samuel Stone and Lilly Williford. His surviving brothers and sisters are Drexell Morrow, Lawrence Morrow, Nadine Henry, Helen Camp, Rebecca Jordan, John Harrison Morrow and Phillip Morrow. Floyd Morrow served in the United States Army from 1944-45. He worked with TVA for 10 years and Republic Steel for 26 years. He has spent his retired years loving his family, his church family, caring for his neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter; his brother, Kenneth Hugh Morrow; his mother, Nannie Carilla Harris Morrow and his father, Samuel Harrison Morrow. In lieu of flowers donations to Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Building fund, 185 Mt. Sinai Rd. Horton, 35980. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 tonight.
