Floyd H. Smith U.S. Navy veteran CANANDAIGUA - Floyd H. "Smitty" Smith, age 83, a resident of the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, died on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at the VA Medical Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served aboard the USS Hobson. Mr. Smith was loved by many dear friends. He will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered by all. There will be no calling hours. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VA Medical Center, Hospice Unit, 400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., Canandaigua.
