WILLIAMSON _ Florence (nee Paterson) native daughter of Vancouver, passed away May 27, 2007. Predeceased by parents David and Catherine Paterson, husband Jimmy, sister Louise, and brothers Bob, Stuart and Les. Survived by her beloved sister and best friend Pearl Moss, sister-in- law Edna Paterson, nieces Beverly Caldwell (David), Carol Dobson, Janice Porter (David) and nephews Bob Paterson (Janet) and Dale Paterson (Barb) and many great nieces and nephews. Florence spent many happy times in the "ARK" at Vesuvius before she and Pearl purchased side by side condos at Birch Bay in the mid 70's. In both places, they enjoyed relaxing times with family and friends or just with each other. In her early 80's Florence was diagnosed with Parkinson's. This slowed her down physically, but her mind remained sharp until the end. Special thanks to Barbara and Eva, caregivers who were like family and enabled Florence to remain at home until a recent fall forced her to relocate to St. Vincent's Langara. She was our family historian and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, bargain hunting, hospitality, shortbread, pool and beach times at Birch Bay, coleslaw, flocked Christmas tree, lemon meringue pie, orange chiffon cake, creme de menthe parfaits, love of roses, shoes, and hummingbirds. By request, there will be no service.
