February 18, 2008 Florence Mufale Peterson, 73, of Sykesville, MD, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at Gilchrist Hospice, Towson. Born July 1, 1934, in Santa Lucia, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Arena Mufale. She was the wife of the late Peter Peterson. Florence had worked as a bakery manager in various grocery stores in addition to being a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Peter Peterson of Syracuse, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and Richard Martinson of Sykesville; brothers, Carmen Mufale of Fayetteville, NY, and Joseph Murffyn of Liverpool, NY; sister, Frances Rappazzo of Central Square, NY; and grandchildren, James and Rebecca Martinson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel (6416 Sykesville Rd.), Sykesville, MD. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD.
