Florence Mathieu January 17, 1946 - April 27, 2012 NORWICH - Florence "Pat" Mathieu, 66, formerly of Norwich, entered eternal rest on Friday morning at Bride Brook Health & Rehab. in Niantic. Pat was born on January 17, 1946 to the late William and Loretta (Russell) Steiger in Norwich. After school she began a life-long journey of waitressing where she made many friends. She was married to her beloved husband Ronald Mathieu who survives her. Together they raised their family. Pat was committed to her Lord and Savior, and devoted to her church and church family at Full Gospel Community Church. Besides her husband, Pat is also survived by her sons; Ted and his wife Wendy Mathieu, Scott and his fiancé Rhonda (Meaike) Anthony, Eric Anthony, and David and his wife Denise Mathieu, daughters; Laurie and her husband Larry Matney, Rhonda and her husband Todd Geissinger and Rebecca Mathieu, two brothers, five sisters, thirteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 4th, 11AM at Harkness Chapel, on the Connecticut College campus, 270 Mohegan Ave., New London, CT. Burial will be private.
