Florence Marshall Valparaiso, IN Florence Marshall, age 96 of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Calumet Township, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 25, 2005. She was born October 10, 1909 in Trenton, NJ. to the late Cornelius and Mary Stults. She was married to Johnny Marshall in January 1929 in Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband (1957); two brothers: Edward and Albert; step-father, William Anderson; son, Bill Marshall; son-in-laws: Jim Cather, Ronald Dykhuizen and Bud Higgins; and several grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted and loving children: four daughters: Mary Jane Cather of Gary, Florence (Wyvil) Gearhart of Valparaiso, Dorothy Dykhuizen of Gary and Shirley Higgins of Chesterton; two sons: Jack Marshall of Gary and Leroy (Bonnie) Marshall of Portage; 100+ grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (2 blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, Indiana 46322, 219-923-7800, with Rev. Jerry Castleman officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. She leaves to cherish her memory a very large and loving family that will truly, truly miss our Granny.
