McKEE , Florence Jean (nee Bowden)Jean, 86, passed away on August 6, 2010. She is survived by her children Lynda VandeKraats (John) of Mississauga; Judy McGougan (Bob) of Medicine Hat; Susan Borthwick (Steve), and James of Coquitlam; grandchildren Donna McGougan (Kevin); John McGougan (Karrena); Peter Martin; Christy-Lynn Gauvin (Roland); as well as great-grandchildren Kassandra, Tanner, Kali, Austin, Nicholas, Owen and Kyle. She is predeceased by her husband Jim (2005), daughter Vicki (2002) and her eight siblings. Jean was born in Vancouver on May 21, 1924, the ninth child of the late George and Jane Bowden. She attended Woodland Elementary, Templeton Jr. High and graduated from Britannia Secondary in 1941. She married Jim in 1944 and together they created fun-loving home for their children and many friends. Jean enjoyed bowling, square dancing, playing cards, and travelling in their RV as navigator to Jim on their many trips. Her quick wit, her infectious laughter and her open-heartedness will live on in our memories. A gathering of family and friends will be held on September 11, 2 - 4 pm at the Old Mill Boathouse, Port Moody. The family sincerely thanks the staff at Salvation Army's Buchanan Lodge for their special care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your charity of choice.
