Florence E. Harding, 90, of Oak Valley, NJ passed away in the company of family and friends on April 9, 2010, in the home she shared with her husband, Charles of 63 years. Legacy Born in West Philadelphia, Florence worked for Cresswell Ironworks and Strawbridge & Clothier, in Philadelphia. After moving to Oak Valley (into the first house on the block), Florence gave birth to 5 children and become extraordinarily involved in their lives. Florence and Charles were two of the founding members of the Oak Valley Athletic Association, where they enjoyed devoting many hours of enjoyment to the lives of many children. Later in life, her house became a place of respite for anyone who needed a good meal. From baking with her children and grandchildren to being their biggest fan. She was continuously there for everyone, including her four-legged friends. Family Beloved wife of Charles Harding. Devoted mother of Louise Harding, Charles (Nadine) Harding, Jr., Lorraine (Christopher) Woodring, and the late Alice. Loving grandmother of Krystall Harding, Jackalyn (Joseph) Knox, Jason and Eric Woodring and great grandmother of Athena, Joseph, V. and Daniel. Farewell Service Viewing Monday 10 AM - 10:45 AM in St. Patrick’s RC Church, Euclid and Cooper St., Woodbury, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11 AM in the church.
