COX, FLORENCE BOYDFlorence Boyd Cox, 96, retired housekeeping employee of Shands Hospital University of Florida and Foster Grandparent of King Daycare Center. She departed her life on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. She was a member of Compassionate Outreach Ministries where she served as Church Mother and past Sunday School Teacher.Mother Cox leaves to cherish precious memories three daughters: Helen Day, Constance Person (Milton) both of Gainesville, FL and Mattie Mae Brown of Sarasota, FL; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.Services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Compassionate Outreach Ministries, Bishop Larry J. Dennison, Pastor. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, 18 NW 8th Ave, Gainesville, FL. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 29, 2008 at Chestnut Memorial Chapel and on Saturday at Compassionate Outreach one hour before the service. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The cortege will form at the home of Mrs. Helen Day 905 NE 25th Terrace at 2:15 p.m.
