ADAMS, Florence Winifred (Freddie) (nee Craig) Passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2004 at the age of 86. She leaves behind: one daughter, Janet Stoddart with her husband Greg of Duncan BC; three sons, Richard Adams of Inuvik, NWT, David Adams of Edmonton, and Vincent and wife Sherry of Pigeon Lake, Alberta; seven grandchildren: Trisha Adams and Bryce Adams, Craig Adams with his wife Beth, Ryan Adams with his wife Stacey, Kristie Erickson with her husband Kevin, Kelly Stoddart with her beau Brandon and Nolan Stoddart; three great-grandchildren: Jordan Adams, Keaton Erickson, and Kali Erickson. She also leaves to mourn her loss her extended family: Dieter and Betty Stuebing of Peace River, their children: John Paul, his wife Karen and son Javier as well as Todd, his wife Maria and their children Erik and Nicola. Freddie is predeceased by her husband John Engle Adams in 1975 and by her grandson Joshua in 1999. Florence grew up in Olds, Alberta as a Craig. She met and married Jack Adams and raised and loved her family of three boys and one girl. It was her husband Jack who nicknamed her Freddie and it remained with her everywhere she went. They lived in Westlock, Carbon, Trochu, Thorsby and Edmonton as Jack (her Johnny) worked and transferred with the Bank of Montreal. Some time after their arrival in Edmonton Freddie began working happily on the office staff of Bonnie Doon High School and stayed there for many years. She joined in the activities of Strathearn United Church. She took an immense interest in the lives of others and so as the years of her life unfolded she came to an abundance of friends. Hundreds of these friends stayed in touch for many decades. Many spoke of her with dismay that they had never heard her utter an unkind work about anyone. She loved her family above all else in the earth and each of her children was uniquely special to her. Her heart was vastly bigger than her little body. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m at Strathearn United Church, 8510-95 Ave., on Thursday April 8, 2004. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
