AUGUSTA — Flora B. Henderson, 93, of 151 Mount Vernon Ave., peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord, whom she loved and served, Jan. 14, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.She was born in Allagash on March 27, 1914, the daughter of Ransford and Mary (Mullins) Kelly.She was predeceased by her husband, Ross; two sisters, Sarah Jackson and Gladys O’Leary; and four brothers, Leonard, Harley, Henry and Joseph Kelly.Flora is survived by her son, James and his wife, Merleen Henderson, of Chelsea; daughters Helen Henderson, of Augusta, and Donna and her husband, Moses Baker, of Lancaster, Pa.; one brother, Luther Kelly, of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, James, of Chelsea, Duane, of Augusta, Brian and his wife, Amy, of Mount Vernon, Cheryl and her husband, Michael Coulombe, of Palermo, Julie and her husband, Chris Capaldi, of Pennsylvania, Shelley and her husband, John Mizgerd, of Ohio, and Kevin and his wife, Lynda Baker, of Pennsylvania; and also her great-grandchildren, Joshua, Stacy, Megan, Chelsea, Erik, Christopher, Johnny, Alison and Katelyn.Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Staples Funeral Home on Brunswick Avenue in Gardiner. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, at Kennebec Valley Assembly of God, 44 Hallowell Road, Chelsea, where she was a longtime member. The Rev. Moses Baker will be officiating the service. Burial will be in the spring in St.Francis, at St. Paul’s Congregational Cemetery.
