GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Services for Flarrie Mae Dicks Williams, affectionately known as "Miss Flarrie", 93, of 305 Gentry St., Graniteville, SC. will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00am at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Aiken, SC. Interment to follow in church cemetery. Public viewing will take place at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, Aiken, SC, Wednesday, from 12-8pm. A. A. Dicks Funeral Home-Sullivan Chapel is in charge of these arrangements. Mrs. Williams died, Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Farry Bell Bates Dicks. She attended the Storm Branch Academy and was a 1968 graduate of the Jefferson Adult Education Program. Sister Williams joined the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she served faithfully in the Senior Choir. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Dozier Chapter #4 and The Heroines of Jericho Diana Court #206. The Central Savannah River Council of Girl Scouts recognized her for 50 years of dedicated service as a leader of Girl Scout Troop #30 in Graniteville. "Miss Flarrie" worked diligently with the Little Builders Choir at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Graniteville for many years. She is survived by: three daughters, Rebecca Williams, of Graniteville, SC, Earnestine Griffin, of Aiken, SC, and Patricia Williams Davis, of North Augusta, SC; a brother, Mingo (Elizabeth) Dicks, of Williston, SC; five sisters, Dorothy Glasper, of Columbia, SC, Penny Smith, Josephine Smiley, Nazerene Morgan, and Leola Dicks, all of Aiken, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
