VANCE, Fannie Mae Fannie Mae Vance (nee Davis) born May 5, 1899 passed away peacefully in her 110th year at the Almonte General Hospital - Rosamond Wing on Friday, May 23, 2008. Fannie is predeceased by her beloved husband Willie Vance, her parents Benjamin and Elizabeth Davis, brother Smith (Pearl) Davis, twins Roy and Florence Davis and sisters Katie (Oscar) Vance and Anna (Billy) Sparks. Fannie is survived by her nephews Eddie and Bennie (Barbara) Vance and her niece Anna Mae Lacroix. Aunt Fannie is a very special Great and Great Great and Great, Great, Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Fannie will be fondly remembered and missed for her chats by many friends, especially Juanita Snelgrove and Desi Carroll and all who kept in touch over the years. Friends may call at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp on Monday, May26, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. Cremation. Inurnment at St. John's Anglican Church, Kanata. Many extra special thanks to the many VON nurses and ParaMed Health Care Services, most especially Tina and Marie for their many years of care that allowed us the privilege of keeping Fannie at home with us until her 109th year. Special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at the Rosamond Wing at the Almonte General Hospital for Fannie's last several months of care. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), St. Mary's Anglican Church and St. John's Anglican Church.
