Family-Placed ObituaryRICHARD ALLEN HOBBS Richard Allen Hobbs, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. Born in Chicago, IL, he moved to Stuart in 2000, coming from Miami. He was a retired sales representative for Liberty Mutual. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict Era. He received his Bachelor's Degree and Master's degree from Roosevelt College in Chicago. He played Saxophone and had been a member of Sid Parker Orchestra; Gene Matties Band; Dancers Only; and Bob Davis Orchestra. He was a member of Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gloria K. Hobbs of Stuart; sons, Larry Allen Hobbs (Debra) of Ft. Myers, FL; Gary Stuart Hobbs of Humble, TX; daughter, Cynthia Hobbs DeMoya of Palm City; and six grandchildren, Angelina; Nichole; Kayla; Jonathan; Pierce: and Spencer. He was preceded in death by his son, John Guy Hobbs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Molly's House, 430 SE Osceola St., Stuart, FL 34997 or Mariner Sands Chapel, 2500 Congressional Way, Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Mariner Sands Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Young & Prill Chapel in Stuart.
