Family-Placed ObituaryMARGARET GARNETT HARRIS 98, died March 20, 2008 in Johnson City TN. She was the daughter of Andrew and Lillie Garnett, early pioneers of Southeast Florida. She wrote Pioneer Daughter: Daughter of A "Barefoot Mailman", available through the Town of Hypoluxo. She was preceded in death in 2002 by her husband, Clyde Harris and in 1996 by a devoted son, Paul Harris. She is survived by two sons, Kendall G. Harris of Johnson City, TN and Neil R. Harris of Crockett, CA, four grandchildren, and others. She was raised in a devout Methodist home and graduated with honors from Wesleyan College in 1930. Since 1948 she has been a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in West Palm Beach. She taught Sunday School for 44 years. She has been a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for 76 years. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 10:30 AM on April 26.
