Family-Placed Funeral Notice JANE RAE SMITH Jane Smith, age 85, of West Palm Beach, FL, died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Fountainview of Palm Beach County, FL. A resident of the Palm Beach area since 1976, she was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church for over 20 years; as well as a volunteer for St. Mary's Hospital, the Salvation Army, and a supporter of Hospice of Palm Beach County. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Kenneth T. Smith who died in 1999. During 57 years of marriage, she and her husband served the U.S. Army for 30 years all over the world. Mrs. Smith was employed by the Atomic Energy Commission, Albuquerque, NM; and was also a Real Estate Agent in Washington, D.C.. Colonel and Mrs. Smith retired to West Palm Beach in 1976. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she is survived by three children, Rani Huttinger and her husband Bob of Blue Springs, MO, Ken Smith and his wife, Cindy of Wellington, FL, and Steve Smith and his wife Diana of Lake Worth, FL. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, David Huttinger and his wife Julie of Blue Springs, MO, Jason Huttinger and his wife Loree of Lees Summit, MO, Dan Huttinger and his wife Lindsay of Blue Springs, MO, Darren Smith of Atlanta, GA, Lauren Smith of Wellington, FL, Kevin Smith of Lake Worth, FL, Kyle Metzler of New Haven CT, and Kara Benulis and her husband Nick of Jupiter, FL; and five great grandchildren, Cole, Drew, Chandler, Alex, and Charlee Huttinger. She also leaves many loyal friends, especially her dear friends at Whitehall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, 2006 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4001 North Shore Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday, from 10:00 AM until the time of Service. Following the Funeral Mass, friends are also invited to join the family in fellowship at a reception in the Parish Hall. Further services and interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Smith's memory to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
