Family-Placed Funeral Notice IRENE V. SMITH Of West Palm Beach, formerly of Allegan, MI., died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the Joseph L. Morse Geriatric Center, West Palm Beach, FL. Mrs. Smith was born November 12, 1925 in Cicero, IL, the daughter of Charles and Valeria (Gasunas) Petroshus. Mrs. Smith was a fifteen year employee of the Palm Beach County School District Payroll Department. She was a former member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Allegan and the Ladies Circle. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth; 3 children, Charles and Bunny Smith of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Catherine and William Kocher of Cincinnati, OH, and Gregory Smith of West Palm Beach, FL; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Alice and Jack Smalla, and 1 brother, Jerry Petroshus, all of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Stanley, Frank and Edward Petroshus; and sister-in-law, Virginia Petroshus. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Oct. 31,2005. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan, MI.
