DAVIS, Francis Warren, 77,of Lusby, MD, formally ofPrinceton, NJ passedaway on November 7, 2010at St. Mary's Nursing and Re¡habilitation Center, Leonard¡town, MD. He was born onDecember 23, 1932 in Deat¡sville, AL to the late FloraClark Davis and Bob Davis.He was the loving husband ofElizabeth Nelson Davis whomhe married on January 9,1981. Warren attended theStark University Military Schoolin Montgomery, AL from 1946to 1951 when he graduatedas a Cadet Lieutenant Co¡lonel. Warren joined the U. S.Navy on January 20, 1950and was ordered to report toactive duty on October 21,1951. He was stationed atUSNTC, Bainbridge, MD;NATTC, USNAS, Jacksonville,FL; USNATTC, Memphis, TN; US¡NAAS, Saufley Field, Pensaco¡la, FL. On December 22, 1953he was released from activeduty. In 1954 Warren attend¡ed Huntington College, Mont¡gomery, AL where he wasnamed to the Who's Who ofCollege Seniors. He was aFencing Master and a HistoryMajor. He graduated in 1957.After graduation Warrenstarted his career with IBMwhere he was a Systems Engi¡neer. In 1968 Warren enrolledin Harvard University Schoolof Business. He graduated in1970. Warren retired from IBMafter thirty years of employ¡ment in 1987. In 1989 Warrenand Elizabeth moved fromRockville, MD and relocatedto Lusby, MD. He was a mem¡ber of the Princeton Ski Club,Princeton, NJ; Mensa Interna¡tional; Solomon's Island YachtClub, Solomons, MD; South¡ern Maryland Sailing Associa¡tion; Son's of the AmericanRevolutions; Son's of the Con¡federate and the AmericanLegion, Post 274, Lusby, MD.Warren was preceded indeath by his parent's andbrother Eldon Davis. He is sur¡vived by his beloved wife Eliz¡abeth Nelson Davis of Lusby,MD; children Francis WarrenDavis, Jr. of AL and LouisBerkstresser Davis of AL; sisterLaVern Ramsey and her hus¡band Bill of Birmingham, AL;brother Ronald Davis and hiswife Linda of Wetumpka, AL;mother-in-law Marion Nelsonof Solomons, MD; brother-in-laws Joel Nelson and his wifeJoyce of Wolfboro, NH andDavid Nelson of Hamilton, NJ;four nieces Kathrine, Seron,Haley and Kiera; four neph¡ews Richard, Eric, Peter andCole and his faithful compan¡ion Heidi. The family will re¡ceive friends on Friday, De¡cember 3, 2010 from 2 ~ 4 PMat the Rausch Funeral Home,P. A., 20 American Lane, Lus¡by, MD where a service cele¡brating his life will be held at4PM with Pastor Randall Cas¡to officiating. Interment willbe private.
