WILSON, Frances Penington R.N. (nee Nickerson), "Nickie"July 15, 1924 - November 12, 2013"She was an angel" is Frances' epitaph, conceived by Donald - her true love and husband of 62 years who predeceased her May 31, 2013. Born in Victoria and trained as a nurse at Royal Jubilee Hospital (Class of 1945). She worked as a R.N. in Vancouver and Victoria. Later volunteering as a nurse in public health for over 25 years. Married in 1950, Frances and Don lived in Victoria, Duncan, Vancouver, and in her beloved Sidney, a place thick with childhood memories of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and finally adult memories of grandchildren. Her longest stay was for over 30 years in the Dunbar area of Vancouver where she raised her three sons and continued to make lifelong connections in the neighbourhood and at St. Philip's Church. Mom passed away peacefully in Victoria BC and she will be sorely missed by her loving family, sons Stephen (Susan), Dean (Sherry), Craig (Catriona) and her beloved grandchildren Lauren, Savannah, Duncan and Euan and her many relatives.
