CARTER, Mrs. Flora Bell, 91, a resi-dent of 304 Locke Avenue, passed away December 29, 2002. Funeral services will be held Satur-day, January 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mt. Silla Missionary Baptist Church of Union Springs, with Rev. M.E. Whitlow, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Mason Ce-metery. The Caring Staff of Carter Funeral Home will direct all ser-vices. Mrs. Carter will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the fu-neral hour. Left to cherish her memories are, her loving husband of 71 years, Johnnie Lee Carter and their chil-dren, Johnnie Lee Jr. (Lizzy M. ), At-lanta, GA, Willie Lee (Cathy) , Min-neapolis, MN., Bertha Ann of Hemp-stead, New York, James Allen, Uni-on Springs, AL and Charles Edward of Union Springs; 12 great-grand-children, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces, a nephew and a host of family friends and relatives.
