Funeral for Evie Louise Eddy Smith, 89, of Hartselle will be Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul O’Neil officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery in Bankhead Forest. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.Mrs. Smith, who died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2005, at her home, was born Sept. 14, 1916, in Morgan County to Issac Eddy and Scenie Smith Eddy. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God. Her husband, Buford H. Smith, preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Freda S. Junkins and her husband, Jerry, of Hartselle; one sister, Verbie Melson of Moulton; five grandchildren, Terry Wayne Black of Hartselle, Tammy Lynn Black of Crane Hill, Theresa Dianna Johnson of Huntsville, Timothy Lee Junkins of Hiram, Ga., and Angela Denise Banberg of Stafford, Va.; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hunter, Holli, Ian and Zachary.Pallbearers will be nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Valley or to the American Cancer Society.
