DAVIS, Evelyn V. Age 89, of 951 Butler Hill Road, R.D., Knoxville, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. She was born April 11, 1919 in Westfield, PA, the daughter of Carl and Mildred Lane Joseph. She was a homemaker and she helped her late husband, William, on the family farm. Evelyn was a member of the Valley View Assembly of God Church, Knoxville, PA. Survived by daughters, Muriel Davis, Gibson, NY, Joan Tubbs, Rochester, MN, Lorraine Dutton, Vero Beach, FL, Billielynn Peluso, Sabinsville, PA; son, Harlan Davis, R.D., Knoxville, PA; sister, Winifred Wheeler, Deland, FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1997. Family and friends are invited to call at the Valley View Assembly of God Church, Knoxville, PA, Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation.
