WEIS - Evelyn Smith , after a long and valiant fight against breast cancer, Evelyn Smith Weis of Sun City, Hilton Head, and formerly a long time resident of Bay Shore, New York and Point O' Woods, Fire Island passed away at age 76 on March 13, 2007, at the Hospice House of Savannah, Georgia. Evelyn, or as she was more commonly known as "Honey" or "Aunt Evie" was the daughter of Capt. Art B. & Mary Smith of Bay Shore, NY and the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Cervenka of East Islip, NY. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 58 years, Capt. Arthur H. Weis, also from Sun City, Hilton Head, her children; Capt. & Mrs. Arthur J. Weis of Hilton Head Island, SC, Mr. Shawn A. Weis of Bayport, NY, Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Jennifer) Politano of Bluffton, SC, beloved Grandson Christopher D. Weis, and sister Audrey Smith Foran of Wolfeboro, NH. Memorial Services will be held at a future date at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Bay Shore, New York where Evelyn was a long time parishioner. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the name of Evelyn S. Weis.
