Evelyn Ruth Pierce, known as Ruth to all of her family and friends, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away suddenly Feb. 3, 2011. Born in Bassano, Alberta, Canada, Feb. 23, 1924, she moved with her family to Three Rivers, Mich., when she was 10 months old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 2007. Their family includes four children: daughters, Leona Falk of Dowagiac, Mich., Eva Hoekstra of Decatur, Mich., and Angela Morton of Veedersberg, Ind.; and son, Frank Pierce in Panama City, Fla. Son, Roy Junior, died in infancy. Roy and Ruth have 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.Ruth, daughter of Edmund Harold and Nellie May (Ash) Smallcombe, leaves behind two sisters residing in Three Rivers, Mich., Mary Raifsnider and Elva Palmer.
