DENNIS Evelyn Patricia (nee Reid) Passed away peacefully on October 25, 2007. Loving and devoted wife, mother and nana and life-long Vancouver resident. Predeceased by her much-loved son, Burt, in 2006. Survived and sadly missed by her beloved and caring family: husband Melvin; sons Ron and Craig; daughters-in-law Pam (Burt), Catherine (Ron) and Neena (Craig); her treasured grandchildren Alison and Will; Loy and Evan; Tyson, Maya and Cole; brother Bernie Reid and twin sister Verna Caunce; nieces and nephews. Also pre-deceased by brother Ken Reid and sister Gert MacDonald. Special thanks to Rev. Sally McShane for her constant spiritual guidance and comfort, and to the members of Knox United Church for their support; also thanks for the compassionate and skilled care of Dr. Geoff Edwards, the palliative care staff at VGH and the nurses of the Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre; to Elizabeth Thomas and to all those who have given such faithful support and friendship. Flowers gratefully declined in favour of preferred charity. Memorial service to be held at Knox United Church, 5600 Balaclava St, Vancouver, B.C., on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 3 pm.
