Jack McDonald, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013.Born in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Pearl Bearden Rowland.Mrs. McDonald grew up in Ware Shoals and attended Asheville College. She lived in Greenville for over sixty years and was an active member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church. For many years, she was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville and was a friend to many. During her last years, she resided in Charleston and made many friends there too.Surviving are two daughters, Jacquelyn A. McDonald and husband, Anthony F. Schneider, of Charleston and Janet Metts and husband, Andy, of New Bern, NC; two grandsons, Hunter Briggs Monteith of St. Petersburg, FL and Michael Justin Smith of New Bern, NC; and a great grandson, Cypress Jack Monteith.Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
