WORCESTER— Evelyn M. (Johnson) Roy, 87, of 559 Plantation St., died peacefully August 7, at Notre Dame Long Term Care. Her husband of 67 years, Rosaire J. Roy died in 2004. She leaves two sons Paul H. Roy of W.Dennis, and Dennis P. and his wife Jean Roy of Spencer, a brother Harry Pearson of Worcester, five grandsons Craig P. Roy of Auburn, John J. Roy of Grafton, Todd R. Roy of Auburn, David P. Roy of Spencer and Matthew Roy of Worcester, ten great-grandchildren Jennifer Roy of Auburn, Tanya Roy of Leicester, Erica Roy of Auburn, Corey Roy of Auburn, Brandon Roy of Spencer, Jillian Roy of Spencer, Madison Roy of Worcester, Alex Roy of Auburn, Michael Roy of Spencer and Alexis Roy of Worcester, a great-great-grandson Nasir Morales of Leicester, four nieces and one nephew. She is pre-deceased by two sisters, Louise Gibson and Dolores Larson and two grandsons Dennis Roy, Jr. and Michael Roy. She was born in Worcester daughter of Herbert R. and Ida T. (Borglund) Johnson and lived in Holden for many years before retiring to West Yarmouth were she lived for 23 years. Mrs. Roy was hostess and assistant manager at Worcester Country Club for many years, and later became executive hostess at the former Plaza Club in Worcester before retiring in 1980. She attended Worcester Schools and enjoyed crafts. At the request of the family funeral services and burial will be private.
