ObituaryEvelyn Louise Bell, 89, of San Marcos, TX passed away August 21, 2005. Mrs. Bell was born June 28, 1916 in Mt. Sterling, IL to John A. and Myrtle (Stewart) Campbell. She was an industrious farmer, tireless advocate for children, poet, dancer, and devoted wife. Service to her community included teaching English to immigrants, being a 4-H leader and political activist. Survivors include daughter Carolyn Flament of Paris, France; son Roderick Bell of Chicago, IL; daughter Patricia Bell of Corona Del Mar, CA; daughter Rebecca Bell Metereau of San Marcos, TX; sister Enid Young of Loveland, CO; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Bell.A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in San Marcos. A funeral service will be on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in mt. Sterling, IL; interment will follow in Mt. Sterling City Cemetery.
