Evelyn Heir Wald died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 82. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 10:15 a.m in the Mount Sinai Memorial chapels, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Boulevard, East Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Wald resided in Elizabeth before moving to Monroe Township eight years ago. Before retiring in 1990, she was a teacher for the Irvington public school system for 46 years. She was predeceased by her first husband, Philip Schwartz , in 1985 and also a brother and a sister. Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Milton Wald; two stepsons, Brian Wald and his wife, Theresa, of Virginia Beach, Va. and Jeffrey Wald and his wife, Bonnie, of Wind Gap, Pa; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a niece, Rochelle Pascale and her husband, Louis, of Queens, N.Y.
