GODWIN _ Evelyn Patricia RN, fourth child of Percy and Florence Langton, born September 5th, 1917, at Mortlach, Saskatchewan, died peacefully in VGH, in Vancouver, June 19th, 2003. Graduated in nursing from Winnipeg Children's Hospital in May 1941. Employed at VGH, July 1, 1941 - 1944 and at Vancouver Children's Hospital 1962 - 1980. Survived by her husband of 59 years Wycliffe Godwin; daughter Joan Hancheroff (Don) of North Vancouver; sons Jack (Ann) of Naramata, and Tom (Sheila) of Lumby; grandchildren Tanya, Trevor and Leanne Hancheroff, and Mike (Haley) and Danielle (Dave) Godwin; and great-grandchildren Tyler and Chloe. Also survived by sisters Olive Gaylord and Irish Langton of San Franscico, Molly Nichol of Toronto, Lillian Shaw (Bea) of White Rock; and brother Gerald (Jean) of Los Angeles. Predeceased by brothers Colin, 1990, Vernon 1988; sister Eileen 1987, and Dorothea 2002. She will be greatly missed by her family and a world of friends.
