Evelyn G. Cooper SPARTANBURG, SC-- Evelyn Lillian Green Cooper, 86, of 8685 Fairforest Road, Spartanburg, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Regional Hospice Home. She was the widow of Edward Dunning Cooper who died in 1973. Mrs. Cooper was a native of Spartanburg County and a daughter of the late Carl Dennis and Lillian Ruth Fowler Green. She was retired from Drayton Mills and Hersey Products and a member of Green Point Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Fred Garrett of Boiling Springs and Phyllis and Lanny Strickland of Boiling Springs; brothers and sister-in-law, William L. Green of Virginia and George D. and Joyce Green of Flagler Beach, FL; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lisa Palmer. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Green Point Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. officiated by Dr. David Lancaster. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Morgan, Jason Worthy, Blaine Strickland, Chuck Corbin, John Green, and Tim Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Healing Hearts member. Memorials may be made to Green Point Baptist Church, 1391 Rainbow Lake Road, Inman, SC 29349. The family will be at the home of Phyllis Strickland, 306 River Forest Drive, Boiling Springs.
