Evelyn Flora Corey 1916-2013 Evelyn F. Corey of Nackawic, NB passed away January 3, 2013 at Carleton Manor, Woodstock, NB. Born at Lr. Southampton, NB in 1916, she was a daughter of the late Berlin and Celia (Mooers) MacDonald. Evelyn was a member of the Women’s Institute and the United Baptist Church Women’s Guild. Although she was for the most part a stay at home wife and mother, she was also instrumental in the operation of her husband’s many business ventures. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Marion Kirkpatrick (Howard), Woodstock, NB; a son, David Corey (Edna), Rossville, NB; five grandchildren, Timothy Kirkpatrick (Faye), Edwin Corey (Janice), Krista MacInnis (Paul), Kathy Gaudet (Bob) and Brenda Dunne (Tom); fifteen great grandchildren, Marnie, Marta, Raquel, Kelsie, Fenton, Isaac, Connor, Emma, Jacob, Chaz, Keara, Zachary, Delaney, Shane and Kathleen; two sisters-in-law, Nellie Corey and Betty Cummings, both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Corey in 1995 and a daughter, Dr. Margaret Corey in 2002. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ryan Farrell, Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer and Rev. Lona Johnston officiating. Interment will be later at Otis Cemetery. A reception will follow at the funeral home. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Evelyn, the family has suggested the Nackawic Wesleyan Church, Otis Cemetery or Canadian Cancer Society.
