Chief, Jersey City Police Dept.) Devoted mother of Sharon Carter Ezell and her husband John, Fr. Kevin E. Carter (Pastor, St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City; Chaplain, Jersey City Police Dept.) Dear sister of Helen Grady, John Quinn and the late Anne Sheldon, Henry Quinn and Kenneth Quinn. Devoted grandmother of Carter and Ronan Ezell. Dear Aunt of Betty and Mike Carbonaro, Cathy and Mike Figurelli, James Grady, John and Maryann Grady, Joan and Henry Schultz, Jack and Anita Quinn, Lori and Jeffrey Scherl, Peggy Quinn Walsh and Richard Sheldon. Mrs. Carter was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident until moving to Ocean Township in 1987. She was a softball coach for Our Lady of Mercy School in Jersey City as well as a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Jersey City and St. Elizabeth Church in Avon, NJ. Relatives and friends are requested to assemble at St. Nicholas Church on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10 AM for the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ. Visitation: Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ (Parking Opposite Funeral Home) and Friday 9-9:45 AM at St. Nicholas Church prior to Mass.
