HIGGINS, EVELYN B., 92, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home. She was a retired employee of the Louisville AAA Club, a member of Eastern Star and a member of Westport Road Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, George C. Higgins; and her parents, Russell C. Jones and Neva Hebel. She is survived by her son, Robert D. Higgins (Brenda); her brother, Charles R. Jones, of Mulberry, FL; two grandsons; and two nieces and a nephew. The family wishes to thank the staff at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home for their loving care and kindness provided to mother over the past several years. We are very grateful to all of them. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Westport Road Baptist Church Building Fund.
