-> Stilson - Mrs. Evelyn Anderson Lee, 91, died Friday at her residence in the Stilson Community under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Bulloch County native was a graduate and Valedictorian of her class at Statesboro High School and was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. Mrs. Lee taught school at Ideal, Ga. and Stilson where she met and married her husband, Mr. Dan C. Lee on New Years Day, in 1938. Being a homemaker, Mrs. Lee was very active in the community serving on the PTA, the Farm Bureau, the Home Demonstration Club and also several charitable organizations to include the American Cancer Society and the March of Dimes. Having been a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church for over 60 years, Mrs. Lee was the oldest living member. She taught Sunday School, served as clerk of the church for a number of years, and served in various other capacities. Mrs. Lee loved her Lord and served him through hospi tality toward his ministers and their families. She loved her family and doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband Dan C. Lee, her parents, William Dean and Blanche Crawford Anderson, two sisters, Blanche Joiner (Oscar) and Maridean Wade (Ed). Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Danalyn L. and Edwin E. Akins of Stilson, two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Deborah A. and Ricky DuBois of Stilson and Leesa Dwin Akins of Atlanta, one grandson, Edwin Eugene Akins of Atlanta, two great grandchildren Kinslee and Seth DuBois, one brother William Dean Anderson of Valdosta, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, C.W. and Irma Lee of Statesboro. The body will lie in state at the church from 10-11 a.m. Funeral Services for Mrs. Lee will be Monday at 11:00 am at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Harold McElveen, Elder Emory Proctor, Elder John Brannen Purser, and Dr. Marcus Tripp officiating. Burial will be in the chur ch cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Lionel Lee, Eddie Wade, Charles W. (Chuck) Lee, III, Quincy Waters, Dr. Marcus V. Tripp, Randall Neal, Dr. James L. Bland, and Gilbert Akins. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Parker and Donald Brown. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459, American Cancer Society, Bulloch Chapter, 515 Denmark St., Statesboro, Ga. 30458, or Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Treasurer, 2451 Mudd Rd., Brooklet, Ga. 30415.
