Eva Mae Jones Eva Mae Jones, 70, who retired from Florida State University after 27 years, died Friday, July 4, 2003. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, with burial at Southside Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at the church. Bruton Mortuary in Bainbridge, Ga. (229-246-6042), is handling arrangements.Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Smith of Albany, Ga., and Mary Henderson-Stubbs (and husband Alfred) of Tallahassee; two sisters, Mabelle Muse (and husband Clarence) of Tallahassee and Ida Ruth Williams of Houston; a brother, Calip Davis of Tallahassee; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
