ObituaryJANUARY 6, 1930 - SEPTEMBER 25, 2007Eugenia Mary Shaver "Jean", 77, of Fort Myers, Florida, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother died on September 25, 2007. Jean died peacefully at Hope Hospice House after a long illness and was surrounded by family and friends. Jean was born on January 6, 1930 in Johnstown, New York to Anna-Chase Paro and Felix Paro. She grew up and graduated from Johnstown High School in 1947. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, James Shaver, daughters Lynn Dunlavey of Fort Myers and Jeannie Cruise of Prospect, New York. She also leaves a sister, Julie Best, a granddaughter, Alicia Albright, great-grandson Tye Michael Albright and step-daughters Patricia Lara and Teresa Shaver and many other dear friends and family.She owned and operated her own beauty salon, in New Haven and Cheshire Connecticut. She also operated a bingo tour bus (cha-ching) in the St. Petersburg & Fort Myers area. Jean and Jim were the original owners of J & J Custom Mica, Inc. Jean was a faithful and devoted member of the Cecilia's Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending her time playing bingo, painting and raising orchids.Memorial services will be held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers on October 3, 2007 at 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to Hope Hospice, Fort Myers in the name of Eugenia Mary Shaver.
