->Wheeler, EugeneEugene Wheeler a resident of Ossining passed away on Thursday October 13, 2011. Gene was born in Fairport, NY on January 20, 1934 and was the son of Carl & Esther (Neerbasch) Wheeler. He was 77. Gene attended Cortlandt State and was a graduate of Ithaca and Columbia Teachers College. He was married to Helen Stanton in 1958. Gene was a Veteran of the US Army and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He taught at Ossining High School and where he was the former chair of the Social Studies Dept. He also served as the Head Varsity Football & Rifle Coach Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife Helen, his 4 children Julie (Michael) Cyran, Carl, Emily & Chris (Lisa); his 6 grandchildren Jessica, Brooke, Tess, Luke, Justine & NicholasVisiting hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 &7-9 PM with the funeral mass Monday at St. Ann's Church at 10:00 AM.
