->BANGOR -- Eugene F. Millett, "Gene," passed away at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor on Monday, April 22, 2006, after a brief illness.Gene was born in Waterford on Aug. 29, 1930, the son of Lila (McAllister) Millett and Carton Millett. Most recently, he was a resident of Anson. Gene was a longtime employee of Ken A Set (now Skills Inc.) in Skowhegan, but had recently retired.Gene loved John Wayne movies, music, fishing, people watching, playing guitar and his harmonica. He had a wry wit and ready grin that will long be remembered by his many friends and acquaintances. Gene was involved for many years in Special Olympics and was a frequent visitor to Camp Tall Pines. A celebration of Gene's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. Friends and family may visit at 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Senior Program, c/o Skills Inc., P.O.
